 Teen used hot dogs to lure pit bulls A 14-year-old boy was charged with burglary today after deputies said he and another male tried to use hot dogs to steal three pit bull terriers, according to a report from FLORIDA TODAY news partner the Pensacola News Journal. In a news release, Escambia County Sherff's Office spokesman Glenn Austin said witnesses saw the boy and another male trying to steal the puppies -- valued at $500 each. Owner Jessie Wilder told deputies the dogs were kept in a backyard pen. Wilder also told deputies he caught the pair in the backyard and was able to capture the 14-year-old boy. The other hopped a privacy fence and escaped. Austin said a search of the suspect led to the discovery of three hot dogs that the suspect indicated that they were used to lure the dogs away.
