Tiny Tanks

On the aquarium forum that I use, they call them "Nano" aquariums.
This is mine, it's an "all natural" 1 liter. I am going to be putting some shrimp in here.

Just thought I would share. :o

I would gave something like that if I did not have cats was like to torment my fish. Max will sit on top of my cichlid tank and try to catch them. Same with my 20 gallon tank. He has already ate like six or seven different bettas.

I actually made that because the cats CAN'T get in! :D
Mine destroy my aquariums all the time.
Including 5 of 6 guppies I bought for my mom from a breeder this month. :(

Does the top have vent holes?

And what kind of shrimp are you looking into? I used to be a shrimp nut..

No but it sits a bit awkwardly and has a chip in the back of the rim so some air gets in, plus I am always opening it to do water changes and such.

I am going with Neocaridina (Cherry Shrimp) but probably going to just keep babies in there and when they grow move them into here:

I was going to suggest them! I loved mine.. The pregnant females are always fun to have. And the babies are just so adorable and itty bitty.

I love them, they're so adorable!
I used to have two but they were in with a Betta and some AD Frogs, so any babies got eaten. :(

On a side note, I think I'll be switching the stuff from this one liter into a one gallon a found, to give more room for plants and shrimp.

When I made a super nano tank I used the case of an iPod, about 1.2"W and 3"-4"L.. I think I used Riccia and dark sand, with 3-5 baby RCS in it at any given time. It was neat!

I have a 6 gal tank with guppies and shrimp and plants....wonderful :)

I'll see if I can even do that...I have problems getting from the camera to the computer to the ...fill in the blank...
It can be that hard and I'm not that stupid, I just must apply my shelf more!

Oh thats cool! I used to have stuff like that filled with various water beetles and crayfish when I was younger in Arkansas! They are so cool, its like a whole mini world in there!
