I haven't gotten any other breed but people always ask me how many months he is, when he is going to be full grown. People always think Peanut is a puppy when I tell them he is 4 years old they never beleive me and say "he doesn't LOOK 4" next time i get that i want to ask what 4 is supposed to look like, i really want to know what people think 4 is supposed to look like.

i get this same reaction. my 7YO is apparently a puppy because he doesnt weigh 100lbs. and some when i tell them his age, tell me that hes a mutt. my GSD is also a labrador, because black GSDs are apparently non existent.

My Kelpie x gets mistaken for a GSD or a Rottweiler at times. The Rottweiler is because of her coloring but come on, she doesn't look anything like one!

Ya, exactly. Way to small.. And build wise, way to thinly built. Plus, I'm sure Rottweilers don't have erect ears..

Dakota's a German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix... he's got many odd guesses

    Doberman
    Beauceron
    Wolf
    Siberian Husky
Alaskan Husky (which isn't a terrible guess since they can show a lot of variety)
    Rottweiler
    Wolfhound
    Coonhound

And the most common... which makes my head spin a bit. Saluki

I'm pretty sure Alice is an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, but she's a shelter dog of unknown background so I don't know for sure.

    She's gotten
    Boxer
    Labrador Retriever
    Pit Bull Puppy...
    American Bulldog
    "Blue nose?"

Buster is often confused for a beagle or basset hound when he's a coonhound.

Dakota doesn't look anything like an Alaskan to me, but I've raced with them so I'm picky

Bukra most often gets called a different sighthound breed - Whippet or Borzoi. Occasionally Greyhound, and rarely Doberman.

Everyone always says Ruger is a cute puppy - he's perpetually 6 months old in the eyes of the public, and his head is "way too small" for him to be an APBT

Everyone insists that Zealand is a Doberman mix. And I do mean everyone.

My favourite though, was an elderly woman walking a fluffy little dog who asked if Jolene was a Whippet mix... as a Sighthound person trying to keep my dog in shape, I took it as quite the compliment! She went on to say that Jo was a very lovely bitch, even after I told her she's an APBT. I'll never forget that woman for making my night! lol
