Patches was dumped along with her mother and littermate at an industrial facility on the Houston ship Channel. After days of looking for rescues to take the three in with no luck, they were brought to our home as foster dogs. We accepted the help of Friendsforlife, www.nokill1.org, to assist us with properly placing her in a suitable home. She is UTD on shots (3yr Rabies), spayed, HW negative, on flea/HW preventative, and is microchipped. We have been working on her basic manners living indoors. She is already housetrained and crate trained. She will need some basic obedience work although we are working on enrolling in her in puppy training now...she may have some sessions already in progress when you consider her for adoption. As a young, large puppy we are looking to place her in homes with dogs of similar size (no toy/small breed) and children of similar size. Her adoption fee is $65 and references are required.
If you have more questions about her, please contact me or FFL. I have had her in my home for about 2 mos. Unfortunately, she was unable to remain in her adopted home because of concern for the small dogs living in the house. No aggression shown at all just play where size became a factor...therefore to insure she goes to a great home we are asking for no small dogs. We are carefully screening potential homes to avoid her being confused again by placement and return.
Patches is also at the FFL adoption center in the Houston Heights until 5pm today. If you are interested in meeting her check out www.nokill1.org for location information.
