I'm posting this to help out my stepdad.

He got saddled with this dog when his son got evicted w/ the promise it would be temporary. that was almost a year ago. the son has since moved onto a college campus, become a daddy, and plans on moving out of state --- probably to denver of all places. needless to say, he doesn't plan on ever taking Cobe back.

My stepdad has done what he could to keep Cobe, but with recent surgeries and failing health and finances, it's come down to this. he called me and asked me to help find a rescue or a breed-savvy foster or forever home for him. at the time Cobe was intact and hadn't had his shots - that has been taken care of a few weeks ago. He is now singing soprano and UTD on everything thanks to a local low-cost clinic.

Cobe is a 3 yr old neutered male AB/'pit bull' mix who is great with people of all ages, sizes and looks; children, disabled people, etc. He's a big love bug.

He used to be good w/ female dogs, but his intact male- to -intact male fight under his belt prior to his surgery, we're considering him to be DA to be safe. He isn't good w/ cats, squirrels, or any prey-like animals.

I know there are thousands of Cobe's in this world, and the only thing unique to him is the fact that I've known and loved this big block-head since he was 8wks old. I want to at least try to find some help.

if anyone could point me in some solid directions as far as rescues, or knows of anyone who may have space for him, it would be appreciated.
