Hi, my name is Petey! Aren’t I cute? I am a sweet, lovable, goofy Pit Bull/Lab mix. I am a glossy black color and I have a great big head that my foster momma loves to plant big sloppy kisses on. I was found in an abandoned building all alone and I was very hungry and injured. A nice woman brought me home, took care of me for a while, then brought me to my foster mommy. Now I get to eat and play all day long! And boy, do I love to eat!
I am about 1 year old, 55 pounds, and like to play with other dogs. Sometimes I can try to assert myself, so my new people will need to be able to handle this and work with me. I also love cats and children! I am a high energy guy, so I need someone who will run around with me and give me lots of fun things to do. I can get a little anxious when in new situations, so I need a home with someone who understands me and will help me to be a good boy. I am house trained and I go in my crate when I know it is time for bed, 'cuz that means *treats*. My shots are up to date and I have been neutered and microchipped, and am heartworm negative and on prevention for heartworm and fleas/ticks. I also had FHO surgery on my hip to fix an injury that we think happened to me when I was a puppy, so now I am as good as new! I will need to be on Glucosamine to help keep my hips strong, but nothing slows me down. If you want a sweet playful boy in your life, I might just be the one for you.
