Honeybunch is a beautiful female American Pit Bull Terrier. She was originally rescued from St. John Parish Animal Control in Louisiana. She is approximately 3 years old. She was in a home with two young children and was very good with them, but due to circumstances that are no fault of Honeybunch, she is back in rescue and ready for a forever home.
Honeybunch has gorgeous green eyes and a soft blonde coat. She is extremely affectionate with people, does well with other dogs and is ready for a forever home of her own. She is housebroken, fully vaccinated, spayed, heartworm negative and on preventative. She is a very petite girl, weighing in at 39 lbs. Honeybunch is a lot of love in a little package!
Honeybunch is located in Atlanta, GA. For more information please contact Ami at amiela@gmail.com
Bunch is just about the best little dog ever! We are heartbroken that she has to go back up for adoption.
As some of you know, and some of you don't, we adopted her about a year and a half ago. She's awesome with our children, good with other dogs thus far (HATES cats), and thinks everyone is her best friend.
The Sunday before Mother's Day, our son had an accident and sustained a serious skull fracture. We were dangerously close to losing him, but fortunately, he's alive and doing very well.
However, if he and Bunch were to collide, or he got jerked off his feet playing with her and he hit his head again, it could be devastating. He had a follow up CT today and he's on the road to healing, but he's under very close watch for the next 6 months. We narrowly missed having to surgically correct the fracture.
This has been a horrible decision to make. Bunch is my heart dog and we love her very much, but Kaelen's safely has to come first. Poor, independent kid isn't even allowed to walk up and down the stairs by himself. Given our situation and how unhappy Bunch is being confined more than she's used to (she has several house mates and Ami and David work hard), we decided this is going to be the best decision for all of us.
Honeybunch truly is an amazing dog! She NEEDS a family that will love her as much as we do.
She is a really great dog. She is starting agility and advanced obedience training this weekend, so we hope to find a home for her that will keep up her training. Maybe she will be a great agility dog someday!
Sorry for you situation, I know it had to be a hard one, If I didn't have so many, I would take her, that is for sure, she looks wonderful. Good Luck in finding her that forrever home.
