Sophie needs a permanent home (Maryland)

Meet Sophie, a sweet 2 year old boxer/pit mix.

She's excellent with people; I marked kids as "no" because she hasn't met any kids while she's been in our care (approx 5 months). She's very sweet, and will do anything for cuddles.

She is house trained, but she's on a 6 hour clock; you will need to walk her regularly.

She is not good with other dogs; she's very jealous of toys and attention, and will attack to make her point. This is the reason we can't keep her; we originally adopted her from the shelter in order to be a companion for our #1 dog. He's tired of having bleeding ears and she's tired of being penned/muzzled.

The shelter we adopted her from requires that we return her to them. We want to find her an adoptee who is willing to apply to the shelter before returning her; we cannot bear to think of her being euthanized ...we will pay all adoption fees.

Before you give her up, have you tried crate and rotate? If the dogs are kept away from each other, they can't fight.

Just because a dog is dog aggressive doesn't mean you have to get rid if it. Sounds like she could use some training along with a crate and rotate. She sounds like a great dog if given the chance. Sadly I can not have 3 dogs or I'd be willing to work with her since I am living in Baltimore. What shelter did you get her from?
