Isn't Duke such a handsome boy?? This guy was pulled from a terrible situation. He was owned by a backyard breeder who could no longer afford to care for his dogs. He also couldn't afford to humanely euthanize them when he could no longer provide veterinary care, and threatened to shoot all the dogs at midnight if someone didn't come and pick them up. Luckily a PAWS volunteer agreed to take Duke and the three other dogs (Kaitlyn, Lexus and Faith, all listed on our site as well) to get them out of harms way. Duke is a great pup. He is a little on the dominant side but gets along well with all other dogs (it was reported he didn't get along with males, however he had had no issues with the other male dog in the home). This boy is all kisses and love! Duke's ears were badly cropped and his tail docked (this may have been done by his previous owner - clearly not a vet's work). Duke has been having some issues recently in his foster home and it seems the stress of having so many dogs in the home is resulting in negative behavior. We would like to get this boy moved ASAP to prevent any of these behaviors from becoming a habit.
