Look at that sad face! Spice doesn't understand why nobody wants her!


She is a female pit mix, approximately 1-3 years old. She was rescued from the gas chamber and is now in the Philly area. She needs to be relocated ASAP to a foster home (or adopter) that doesn't have any other dogs. Her current foster home does not have the means to separate her from other dogs so she is spending way too much time caged and we are URGENTLY trying to move her to a place where she can be the only pet!


Spice loves ALL people - her whole face lights up when she meets someone new. She's a sweetheart and a true breed ambassador - she loves EVERYONE and gets very excited if you simply call her name. She's a butt wiggler and does a whole wiggle dance with her back-end when you merely talk to her or show her affection.

Spice is calm in the house and if you don't have time to walk her, she even keeps herself occupied by playing alone with her stuffed toys. She's housetrained, crate trained, and quiet. She walks nicely on a leash, has already learned 'sit' and 'shake hands', and loves laying in the grass to sunbathe or just laying down by your side with a bone. She has no toy or food aggressions in fact, she loves when you play 'keep away' with her favorite squeaky toy. She's great at playing catch with a ball too.

Spice should be in a home without young children because even though she means no harm, her tail is like a whip when she gets excited and it can easily cause damage to a young child that stands under 3 feet tall -- older children will be fine though...as long as they love getting kisses from this sweet girl!


Spice must be the only pet in the home - she wants all of your attention to herself and doesn't get along with other dogs.

She'll be a great dog for a single person, a young couple, or even a retiree.
Her adoption fee has been reduced to only $75 and includes all vaccinations, spaying, deworming, etc! We'll also be sending her crate and toys with her.
