I found Pinot walking alone late one night on Over the Rhine, which is a neighborhood in Downtown Cincinnati. She was bloated from eating too much crappy dog food but was otherwise clean. I took her in intending to find the owner but after more than three weeks of looking I'm pretty sure she was abandoned. She has no microchip or tags, and I've lived in OTR a long time so I'm sure I would have heard something by now.
She is very friendly and loves my dog Otto, who is an 11 year old weimeraner. However Otto is not so keen on her and misses all the attention he had when she wasn't around. Pinot (as I've named her) is much bolder when she's around Otto, but much more timid when she's out by herself. She does well with children, and occationally visits my neighbors to play with their kids. She is not house trained but we're getting there! I really wish I could keep her, but my apartment really isn't good for a puppy, nor do I have the time or money to put towards the training and care she deserves.
We're looking for anyone responsible who would be willing to take her in. I will be taking her to a vet to have her more thoroughly checked in the near future, but so far seems like a healthy puppy.
