I need to know how many of you are not able to access the chat room due to not having Java installed on your computer, or for whatever reason.

I'm considering changing the link so people will hopefully not have many problems (even with a mobile device), but I want to see how many users are actually having problems.

If you could, please take a moment to try to connect to the chat room and reply or vote on the poll in this thread on your success or failure.

I spent the last couple of days doing searches (as suggested) on some questions I posted. Man, I got alot to learn. I just wanted to thank the members who have been patient enough to steer me in the right direction with being jerks. I imagine it can be frustrating to some of you "old-timers" to hear the same old mistakes people are making ,that may jepordize the breeds future, and/or the same old new threads started by a newbie that could be answered with a bit of research. I can only say this: throwing up dumbass rolly eyes or a laughing face does not help at all. If you do not have enough of a command of the english language to answer, don't bother at all. If you REALY care about the breeds future, give an answer, link, or suggestion that may help. I joined this site to learn...... TEACH ME.

All of a sudden it occurred to me, we have this incredible site with NO ads, hardly ever any server downtime, never any spam, lotsa "bells and whistles" and I was just wondering how is it financed?

This is in appreciation more than an offer of money, but on the other hand I don't want to be havin' all this fun on someone else's dime; especially if it were a hardship for anyone.

So what gives, admin/mods? Is it all cool, or is there a need for a bit of help?

Ive been bouncing back and forth hoping Fayes rescuers come back to the forum and answer a cpl questions. When there are no replys. Im wondering if it should be "suggested" that they set there preferances to recieve an email alert to any replys made to there posting in the rescue database. This would undoubtably help the dogs that need urgent attention.

Many of us also have cats...

Obviously this is a pretty dog specific forum, but its kinda been floating around in the back of my head that it would be cool to have a section for those who also own cats to talk about the evil little creatures. I for one would like to learn more about Sphynx cats that Zoe and Elena have. There aren't really any good, informational cat forums out there on the internet, that I've found at least... I don't know if it would best to put something under featured forums (like the Creepy Crawlies) or have an offshoot forum like the dobe and molloser breed forums... I really, really like how pb-chat and the other two forums are set up and I think they really draw people who really have a love for animals and learning even more about animals. Anyway, just a random idea I thought I'd toss out there.:rolleyes:

Step 1: Navigate to the Forums page by clicking Forums at the top of any page. Scroll down the page and find the appropriate category for your thread (or topic). Once you find the category (or "forum") your topic is most relevant to, click the link to the category as depicted below.

Step 2: When viewing the forum you wish to post your topic to, there are two buttons on the left side that say "New Thread" both above and below the threads listed. Click either one of these buttons to begin creating your new thread\topic.

I am doing a powerpoint presentation about pitbulls. I don't have a pit myself because my daughter is allergic to cats and dogs, but I would have a pit if she wasn't. I have done quite a bit of research about them, but nothing compares to getting information from people who actually own these type of dog. I am hoping that maybe I could get some information from some of you about your dogs. Nothing specific, just anything you think might help for a presentation, and make it more "fun."

I made a thread regarding customer service of a company the other day. I was unsure where to post it because all the sections are regarding products. I love that section but also think customer service is HUGE! If I can buy a product from two different places for the same price, but one provides better service, you bet I am buying it from that place. So, I thought it might be helpful to put a "company" review spot in the "product review" area.

I come from a car forum background and I know a lot of places that will take advantage of the fact that I am girl, that is just not right, so the customer service part of a company hits close to home for me :)

When a user posts a new blog on their blog section.. it doesn't announce it or anything? I mean nobody knows you've posted it unless they go looking it right? I ask because I think I do a good blog every now and again..and I hate having to point it out to those I think would enjoy it and so people can see it and comment... lol

How about easier ways to retrieve forgotton passwords?

It took me 10 minutes to finally, correctly, type in those hard to read, obscure, message codes to get the board to send me my password. How about providing legible codes for us to copy when needed?:cool:

If you are a regular member, and you make a post to a thread. You have 5 minutes, to edit your post . If 5 minutes go up. You can not edit your post. I was wondering if y'all can change that rule. Because sometimes I'll remember something that i would like to add to my post 10 minutes later.. Or if i would like to add something to my post in the future, it doesn't give me that option.

Sounds a little odd, but I'll try to explain. When I post a reply in a thread and my post is to be the first one on the next page, after I submit the message, I get redirected to a blank white page with the ads. I don't know if this is related to my Adblock add-on which normally blocks these ads or what. It's not that big of a deal -- and if it's just happening to me, I'll deal with it -- but I figured if it's something that can be fixed, Shon might want to know about it. If I back up and refresh the thread, everything is normal.

PBC Logo?

I havent seen any kind of official PBC Logo on the forum here. I think it'd be a cool idea to get some of the artsy people to come up with an official logo and have us vote on it.
Maybe from that logo we can have decals, stickers, t-shirts. and have some of the profits go to charitable related things.

All the other forums I've used have one thing to click to "View Your Posts" for a list of every thread you've posted in so you can easily check for replies or follow up on things. I couldn't find it here, only subscribed threads? And I know you can 'search by user' but I wondered where the actual link was to view your own posts. I'm definitely not used to this forum format... Thanks!! =)

Would anyone be interested in a Birthday List?? This would kinda be like the Christmas card thing, except you wouldn't have to "commit" to sending everyone a card. Simply, if you want to send or receive a card on your birthday, you can reply to this. If I get enough replies, I would be willing to write down the birthdays, arrange them by month, and send everyone a list. That way, if you want, you can give your address, and receive a card on your birthday. I love getting birthday cards, and you can usually get a box of them at the dollar store for a buck.

I just thought if enough people are interested, we could do a birthday card list. You won't get a present, but a card in the mail on your birthday is nice... well, it is for me anyway, because everyone usually forgets mine, even my family!:( Anyway, just let me know. :)

I was uploading a time line of pics of rex like 70+ pics. and then i clicked submit and it said login and i logged in and then my post got deleted and i had to start over T_T

took me like 15 minutes to do lol. ima just make a video though so w/e . You will see what im talking about within an hour =]
